Currently, we conduct a mentoring program for 20 to 30 young black and brown boys at Louis Armstrong Middle School. Volunteers are engaged with the students for approximately 16 man-hours per month from January to May. Students are exposed to adult men from various professions, and they get exposed to meaningful subject matter, such as financial literacy, the highest-paying careers, avoiding conflict, and conflict resolution.
